Food Product Development Engineer
The R&D team is a matrix organization dedicated to creating all natural food products using plant-based ingredients.
The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver and have a keen interest in transferring bench-top processes to pilot- or production-scale processes for innovative food products that may require implementing new processes on scale. A team-oriented perspective is a must. Frequent travel may be necessary and/or travel on non-regular intervals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support R&D team in attaining short-term and long-term product development goals.
Provide written and verbal reports on work, including analysis of process and product operations.
Modify formulations to fit larger scale operations.
Lead development for the production of recipes at large scale.
Understand process requirements and identify new equipment for various food processing steps both for bench-top and larger scale experiments.
Conduct pilot-scale experiments and test new equipment at various vendors.
Establish parameters for each processing step at bench-top and optimize them for larger scale runs.
Optimize processes and equipment to ensure high-quality products are being produced.
Collect and lead data analysis to ensure efficiency and look for opportunities to improve product yield
Do production test runs and provide technical leadership and operational oversight for food processing operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
BS/MS in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related fields with 2+ years of experience.
Excellent knowledge of food processing equipment and scale-up.
Knowledge of food safe production practices and regulations
Strong oral and written communication skills and good organization skills.
Be able to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse, dynamic team.
Ability to think independently and manage multiple projects

Brand Ambassador
OVERVIEW
Brand Ambassadors, working with the Regional Field Marketing Manager; are part-time employees that are the face of the brand at various field marketing events including in-store sampling demos (~3-4 per week, mainly weekday nights and weekends, 3-4 hours per demo)
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
- Organization and hosting of in-store retail demos
- Build relationships with store managers and team members during in-store demos
- Leverage relationships for preferred merchandising and POS placement
- Use demo schedule to gain secondary displays during grilling season / holidays
- Coordinate with store managers and demo coordinators on schedules, product levels, display areas, and demo guidelines
Qualifications

- 0-2 years field marketing experience as a brand ambassador
- Access to a computer or smart phone for reporting sampling results and uploading photos
- Ability to engage a crowd a crowd and have a naturally outgoing personality
- Excel and PowerPoint proficient
- Understanding of both marketing and sales fundamentals
- Strong time management skills, able to work independently, and results-oriented

Senior Manager, Manufacturing Quality Assurance
OVERVIEW
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Quality Assurance’s primary role/ position is to ensure that all food products produced at our factory and all ingredients supplied by our approved vendors meet requirements of customers, regulatory bodies, and the Company. The Senior Manager, Co-manufacturing Quality Assurance is responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of quality control programs and procedures, as necessary to meet internal and customer specific quality control standards
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
- Maintain quality programs at all manufacturing locations – current and future
- Lead and maintain other certifications including Non-GMO Project and Kosher at co-mans and COMO
- Support production at all manufacturing (including co-man) locations in producing top quality products that meet internal specifications
- Responsible for conducting nutritional audits on current production as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
-
- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science or Microbiology / Biology preferred or Comparable Industry Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment
- Thorough knowledge of GMP, FDA/USDA and Food Safety, SOP’s, and GMO free.

Sales and Marketing Representative (SMR) North EU
SMR position is an entry-level field sales and merchandising position that supports in-store execution of sales and marketing initiates. The role will work closely with sales and marketing with a primary responsibility to visit retail stores daily to provide customer communication/education on marketing and merchandising initiatives and support increased visibility in priority accounts to drive brand recruitment and increased sales. The SMR will report to the Director of Retail Sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
- Work closely with the Director of Sales to establish weekly priorities and areas of focus
- Visit 15 – 20 stores daily improve brand visibility and execution in the market
- Build relationships with key influencer store category managers
- Ensure Natural Reliance products are well represented in key priority stores
- Perform store checks, place merchandising equipment, sell in secondary placements, verify OOS, re-stock shelves
- Update in-store POS as needed
- Check for Out-Of-Date product and communicate issue to store personnel
- Execute impactful crew drives and sales blitzes as needed
- Report weekly summary of activity
QUALIFICATIONS

- HS Diploma/College Degree preferred
- Understand local market
- Personable
- Willing to take initiative without daily direction
- Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel
- Driver’s License
- Previous experience in sales
